(March 17, 1940 - October 28th 2010)

Mr. Charles Johnson Executive Producer of the Great Event that has become one of the Largest Street Festivals in the Southeast - the Sweet Auburn Springfest held in May each year.  The festival was founded by Hosea Williams of Feed The Hungry 27 years ago and for the past 16 years until 2010, Mr. Johnson has built it up to bring more than 350,000 + people to the City of Atlanta each year.  He is affectionately known as the Mayor of Sweet Auburn.

The Fall Festival (Sweet Auburn Heritage Fest) is an opportunity to invite YOU to Auburn Avenue for Open House to Celebrate the History that has helped us break through many barriers on the very street where many legacy were birthed and is held in October.
