OPALS are real Gems
Older People with Active Lifestyles

OPALs is a program of TCSI a designated IRS 501[c]3 organization.  OPALs is the acronym for Older People with Active Lifestyles.

Founder Carolyn Hartfield is a 60+ year old who became involved with the Masters Sports Program in Detroit, Michigan when she was 50.  Never having been an athlete at all, she marveled at the 'old men' she saw playing full court basketball after being invited to the gym by Cal 'Captain D' Dilworth.  www.opalsite.org

A network of people aged 50 and older who are young at heart, enjoying an active healthy lifestyle, are fit, friendly and having fun participating in recreational, athletic and social events with peers, in addition to community service and teachable intergenerational projects.

Reach the Country's Fastest Growing Market

The Sweet Auburn Springfest Active Seniors Pavilion is a fun, quality way to market and survey to seniors from throughout the Southeast region. The senior market (age 60+) will grow by 81% between 2005 and 2030. Mature Americans may comprise about 35% of the population, but they control 57% of the discretionary income. And while they’re just as likely to switch brands and experiment with new products as other age groups, less than 50% of companies surveyed had no specific plans to market to this demographic!
Here is your chance to capture your share of this lucrative market. Exhibiting at this show is a must!
