What is A-Town
Day?
A-Town Day is a festival, concert, and
day of awareness benefiting Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, The Tupac
Amaru Shakur Center for Performing Arts, and the Atlanta Braves
Foundation.
What is a Day of Awareness?
A Day of Awareness is a day of positive information delivered in a
positive atmosphere. At the first annual A-Town Day we had the pleasure of
bringing you The Atlanta Fire Dept., The Red Cross, The CDC, Grady Health
Systems, American Diabetes Association, American Lung Association, and the
Sickle Cell Foundation just to name a few. There were several colleges
recruiting students while Washington Mutual was signing people up for
checking accounts. We had funnel cakes, icy’s, inflatable moonwalks, and
clowns for the kids. The A-Town Day musical selection was tremendous with
a total of 62 performances. The stage was blessed by everybody from Grand
Hustle and Jazze Pha to DJ Drama and The Shop Boyz; Hurricane Chris and
Khujo Goodie to Fabo and Shawty Lo. A-Town Day is a day of
Awareness, a day for the entire family to come out and celebrate the city
of Atlanta in a positive, uplifting environment. We aim to raise Awareness
on many topics from Diabetes and Cancer to Disease and Fire Prevention.
Together we can make a difference! |
