Join us for the annual Sweet AUburn Literary Festival.  This event will take place May 9 - 11 as a venue of the Sweet Auburn Springfest.  Literary authors and readers from accross the country will converge for one exciting, fun-filled weekend.  Come along and bring your entire family.

Jackie Boatwright is the CEO of Jackie Boatwright Enterprise LLC., The parent company of, Jackie Boatwright Publishing, Jackie Boatwright Film Productions, Jackie Boatwright Ministries, Juanderful Apparel, and Juanderful Records. Known as the mother of all mothers due to her highly publicized fight to save and protect the life of her son and the lives of millions of children in America.

Jackie Boatwright is the author and publisher of Juan's Story, a book about her youngest son who suffered a tragic accident while attending child daycare. In addition to America, Juan's Story is being sold and sought in England, Russia and Korea as it shares what one person can do through passion and unconditional love. This book displays a love story so strong that it inspired the late Pope John Paul II to send apostolic blessings, and a Chaplain to use Juan's Story to inspire his unit to believe in the impossible.

For Aspiring Writers:

Have you ever wanted to write a book? Come out for the many book publishing and promotion workshops.  Learn to find an agent, land a publishing deal or explore the world of self publishing.  All sessions will be led by seasoned professionals who can answer all of your publishing questions.

For Authors:

This year's event promises to be bigger than ever!  Meet and greet 500,000 fans from around the country.  Gain national exposure, market your book(s), make new friends, and have the time of your life - all at the same time.

For Book Sellers:

Be a part of the Sweet Auburn traditon as a vendor in this years Literary Festival.  Market to over 500,000 new customers over a three day period.

Publishing workshops @ Auburn Researh Library - and various locations, 9a - 5p.  Seminars are free to the public, but materials and authors books will be available for sale.
Topics include the following:

  • Be Your Own Publisher
  • Landing a Publishing Deal
  • The Art of Book Promotion
  • Meet/Greet the Authors
  • Spoken word performances at participating Auburn Avenue restarants.  7p (Cover Charge - $5)

Sunday a special presentation by the Auburn Avenue Research Library.

The Auburn Avenue Research Library in collaboration with Jackie Boatwright Enterprises and Spirit of Sweet Auburn Foundation presents a celebration of  the strong tradition of motherhood in the African American community.

The program features author and activist Jacqueline Boatwright, who will share her empowering story of one mother’s unconditional love and unwavering faith.
