Honor Our
Grandparent(s) Contest
Did you know
that National Grandparents Day has been around as a national holiday
since 1978?
When was the
last time you actually honored your grandparents?
Well, now is the time to strengthen your family legacy and
preserve the heritage of your family grandparents with an essay or poem.
All entries
must be original and written by the entrant.
Only one (1) entry per person.
All
Entries are to be emailed to
Contest@OPALssite.org or faxed to 770.234.5331, and must be
received no later than 12 midnight September 1, 2010.
Spelling and grammar will be a
part of the criteria.
Entries must be no more than one page, double spaced in at least a 12pt
font. Judging criteria includes
Originality, Authenticity, Spelling and Grammar.

There will be five (5) entry categories :

2.
Age 9 - 12
3.
Age 13 – 16

Age 17 – 20
5.
Age 21 -25

Note if grandparents are living or

Winners will be announced on Sunday, September 12, 2010, at 3:00 p.m.,
National Grandparents Day and prizes will be awarded to Winner and
Runner-up in each age group and honorable mentions will be recognized.
Judges decisions are final.
