This is our personal invitation to you and all those exciting artists who have performed on the stages of Sweet Auburn Festivals since 1984 to come back to Auburn Avenue during the spectacular “Sweet Auburn Spring Fest 2008 Artist Homecoming.”   During the 2008 Sweet Auburn Springfest – May 9-11, numerous performing artists who got their start by appearing on the stages of this historic festival are invited to come back ‘home’ to once again light up the stages where so many  of them went on to impact the Atlanta area and the rest of the world thus establishing the City of Atlanta  - and the Sweet Auburn Springfest  as one of the most viable new talent venues in the USA.

During this year’s festival season – there will be a pre-festival event – held in April (location and date to be announced) -  featuring special invited guests including many of the legendary artists – who have appeared on the Avenue over the years such  Gladys Knight & The Pips member – William Guest, Speech (Arrested Development), Harvey Scales, Beverly ‘Guitar’ Watkins,  Jermaine Dupri (So So Def Recordings), Raven Symone, Usher, India Arie,  Lil’ Jon of BME Recordings, Fa Sho, Az1, Stepany Edwards and many other of the new recording artists that are out today.  This event will be an appreciation, awards show and reception.  We invite you to come out and meet many of those who have made an impact on Auburn Avenue and on the rest of the world.

During the festival - May 9-11 – Mother’s Day weekend – there will be a Homecoming stage of non-stop entertainment for the weekend featuring many of the above referenced performers and personalities.  This will be an exciting performance venue as not only performers will be out this weekend – but there will also be record labels, record executives, artist managers, talent agents and many others involved in the exciting world of the music business.

If you have been among the millions of people who have attended the Sweet Auburn Festival over the years – we especially invite you to come out and celebrate this exciting homecoming this spring.
