Hi there, my name is DeJuan Anderson and I have a dream of visiting 50 states in 50 days and planting 50 gardens.  In each state the garden will be planted with vegetables unique to that particular state.  I am going to work with people in each of the communities  where the gardens will be and ask for help from both the elderly (mostly their wisdom) and the young (mostly their physical strength) to maintain the gardens.  

 

I plan to return to each garden after a period of time to see how they prospered, hear stores, get recipes and take seeds home to Atlanta, Georgia.  I want to do this for many reasons.  To begin the reduction of global warming.  To bridge gaps of ethnic, cultural and social movements.  To learn from our elders and let the children of each community maintain their heritage through working together to plant for their future. 

 

This adventure would mix up gardening, sumptuous scenery and world wind touring with a zest of zany humor marinated with an organic awareness.  Toss all this up with a  savoring of surprises that I am sure will occur along the adventure and box it all up in a coffee table book to go.

 

I hope to bring the world a little closer together.  (and hopefully get a lot of hugs along the way!)  This truly has the ability to be a great adventure and am looking for people to help with donations to make my garden dream come true.  I would love to meet with you and discuss options.  Thank you in advance for your time.
